Sandra & Family, Michigan
With Telamon’s help, Sandra moved from work in the fields to college. Sandra’s four children attended Michigan Migrant Head Start and have all grown up to graduate from college and hold professional management positions within the banking, healthcare, landscaping and construction. industries. Sandra herself is now bilingual and is working on finishing her degree in Early Childhood Education. She said: “I am proud of my children and very thankful to Michigan Migrant Head Start. I would like the world to know that Head Start works, and my children’s success is because of the excellent educational experiences that they received from Michigan Migrant Head Start.”
