TRC Muncie Head Start Continues Enrollment for the 2013-14 Program

MUNCIE, IN -- Transition Resources Corporation (TRC) Head Start and Early Head Start are continuing to accept applications for enrollment for the 2013-14 Head Start and Early Head Start school year. Head Start is a free kindergarten readiness program for preschool age children. Head Start and Early Head Start provide comprehensive education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to children and families. To be eligible for Head Start, children must be 3 years of age, as of Aug 1, 2013. Early Head Start serves pregnant women and children up to the age of 3. Services are available to all eligible children, including children with disabilities.
Children and families are eligible for the Head Start and Early Head Start programs if the family’s income is determined to be at or below the federal poverty guidelines. Children and families are also eligible for the Head Start and Early Head Start programs if they are homeless, receiving TANF or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or if they are in foster care. The program is federally funded.
TRC Head Start serves children and families within the city of Muncie.
Applications are accepted Monday – Friday at the Muncie Head Start and Early Head Start Center located at 3900 East Wysor Street from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome or interested individuals can call to schedule an appointment.
