    In 2015, Telamon Corporation was designated by Governor Pat McCrory as a Community Action Agency. This designation allows Telamon to provide CSBG-funded services to low-income residents of Rockingham, Caswell and Person Counties.

    Project PRIDE promotes training and employment opportunities for low income adults. The goal is to assist program participants with transitioning into employment that pays a sustainable income for the participant and his/her family.SERVICES

    Project PRIDE provides education, training, job placement and support services suited to the participant’s goals:

    • Vocational assessment and career exploration
    • Work skills training (e.g., resume preparation; interview skills)
    • Occupational skills training
    • Job placement assistance
    • Financial counseling
    • Support services
    • Referrals

    The program’s funding is provided by North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Economic Opportunity.


    Program eligibility is based on household composition, income and place of residence. Income is based on Federal Poverty Guidelines.
