TRC Anderson Head Start Accepting Applications for Full Day Services
ANDERSON, Ind. - Transition Resources Corporation is pleased to announce that it will begin offering full day early education services beginning July 7, 2014. The hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. When the new Head Start program year begins September 2, 2014, the children in full day services will receive Head Start services four (4) hours per day along with before and after child care services up to seven (7) hours per day. Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) vouchers will be accepted.
To qualify for the full day Head Start/Early Education program, children must be three years of age and under age five by August 1, 2014.
Children and families are eligible for the program if the family’s income is determined to be at or below the federal poverty guidelines. Children and families are also eligible for the program if they are homeless, receiving TANF or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or if they are in foster care. The program is federally funded.
Applications are accepted Monday – Friday at the Anderson Head Start Center located at 812 W. 13th Street from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome or interested individuals can call to schedule an appointment. The child’s birth certificate and verification of family income is needed to apply.
